Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
Chimney Cleaning Before & After in Las Vegas, NV
Most chimney work happens where you can’t see it, which is exactly why we photograph everything. Every job we do in Las Vegas includes before-and-after photos you can actually look at, not just a bill and a handshake. The photos on this page show the kind of transformation we handle week in and week out, from glazed creosote (the flammable tar buildup that makes chimneys a fire risk) to rusted dampers and stubborn blockages. You’ll see what our technicians saw, what they did, and what the final result looked like.

Stage 3 Creosote Removal in Summerlin
Before
AfterThe flue had a shiny, tar-like coating across all four walls. That’s stage 3 creosote, the kind that ignites around 1,000 degrees and can’t be brushed off with standard equipment. We used rotary chain whip heads to break the glaze down, then ran a HEPA-filtered vacuum to collect the debris before it ever reached the living room. The after photo shows raw clay tile again, which is what you want to see before burning season starts in Las Vegas. Total job took about two hours, and the homeowner watched the whole thing happen through our camera feed.
Bird Nest and Debris Blockage in Henderson
Before
AfterThis one had a full nest built on top of the damper, with twigs, feathers, and dried grass packed tight. The homeowner called because smoke was backing into the house. We removed the nest material by hand, swept the full flue length, and installed a new chimney cap with proper animal barrier screening. The damper then opened and closed cleanly for the first time in years. We also found the nest had been blocking carbon monoxide from venting properly, which is exactly why a real camera check matters.
Rusted Damper Replacement in North Las Vegas
Before
AfterThe original damper was rusted shut at the hinge, which meant the fireplace couldn’t draw air properly and cold air poured down the flue all winter. We removed the old damper, cleaned the smoke shelf, and installed a top-sealing damper with a stainless steel cable system. The after photo shows the new damper seated flush and operating smoothly from the firebox. The homeowner told us they noticed the difference in their living room temperature the same night. This is one of the most common repairs we do in North Las Vegas, where older homes still have their original cast iron dampers.
Smoke Chamber Parging and Flue Cleaning near Centennial Hills

Creosote had built up deep in the corbeled brickwork of the smoke chamber, where a standard brush never reaches. The before photo shows the rough, stepped brick with black residue packed into every ledge. We parged the smoke chamber smooth with a refractory mortar, which closes off those gaps and gives smoke a clean path up. Then we swept the flue above it. The after photo shows a smooth, continuous surface from the firebox to the first flue tile. It’s one of those repairs you’d never know happened unless you saw the photos, which is the whole point of how we work.
Gas Fireplace Glass and Burner Cleanup in Spring Valley

This gas fireplace in Spring Valley had a film of white mineral haze on the inside of the glass and soot buildup on the ceramic logs. The owner said the flames had gone from blue and crisp to yellow and lazy. We pulled the glass, cleaned it with fireplace-specific cleaner, vacuumed the burner ports, and checked the gas pressure and thermopile output. The after photo shows clear glass and a burner that lights clean on the first try. We also verified the carbon monoxide levels at the unit before and after, and the difference was measurable.
